This accreditation is a
unique collaboration between experienced music and dance exponents
and practitioners in order to fill a gap in training, qualification
and accreditation for those working in this sector of Arts and
Education. It will also work alongside the Skills Training Programme
being started by Tradamis.
Aims
The accreditation
ensures a rewarding and educative experience providing candidates
with a good knowledge of all the elements that make a safe and
effective workshop, raising the standards of training to a
professional, accountable level previously unknown in the
traditional & historical arts world.
Training
Trainees will be
mentored by an experienced mentor who will be responsible for the
training, monitoring and assessing of the participant, providing one
to one training focusing and supporting the participant at every
stage of the process.
Assessment
The accreditation will
be externally assessed through the submission of a DVD/digital video
of highlights of at least two workshop sessions and a supporting
reflective journal.
The Accreditation Panel
All members of the panel will have appropriate academic
qualifications and relevant experience in the performance & teaching
of traditional or historical art forms.
Timetable
We will initially be making sure all Tradamis practitioner and
Associates are properly accredited but hope to be able to offer this
service to other Freelancers and Organisations in Spring 2011.
The Bottom Line – Cost
It is anticipated that the cost will be around £400 but look for
further announcements on the Tradamis web site.
